The Simrad CP42 and CP52 Chartplotters

Simrad introduce a complete range of outstanding GPS Chartplotters that feature large, flat screen TFT technology as well as the very latest DGPS features. The 10 inch CP42 and impressive 15 inch CP52, feature crystal clear color LCD displays which can be viewed from any angle.
A 14 channel GPS receiver with Kalman filtering ensures all available satellites are constantly tracked and the position on the chart is updated every second. A built-in differential receiver selects the strongest ground based stations and eliminates Selective Availability and other errors providing an accuracy of between two and five metres (6 to 15 feet).
Using the new Chartplotters is simplicity itself; the user can be proficient within a very short time with minimal referral to the manual. A user friendly, intuitive operating system assists the navigator through the various available functions. Waypoints and routes are easily plotted directly on the detailed chart with the fast and responsive cursor button. A valuable safety benefit is the Man Overboard facility that gives precise steering information back to the position of an incident.
Simrad GPS Chartplotters utilise the latest C-Map NT+ C-Cards which are protected in watertight drawers. The CP42 and CP52 can operate two cards that provide a seamless transition from one chart to the next. Using these precision vectored charts provides a far greater level of detailed information than other systems can store, such as port facilities, restaurants and hospitals, plus navigational marks, lights, buoys etc. Advanced tide tables can be called up to display present tide status or tidal predictions at any point. Charts can also be customised to enable information to be shown or deselected. The internal dynamic memory can store up to 50,000 track points or a selection of trackpoints, waypoints, marks etc.
